With Christmas well and truly done with, I made my way up to Scotland to attend a wedding, which was a great way to mark the end of 2015.
We stayed in 'Greens at Gretna' which is the first hotel in Scotland just as you cross the border, so it was very easy to find and there is a great retail outlet across the road with lots of well known brands. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and had a lovely time, its currently going through a refurbishment so not all the rooms where complete but I can imagine them looking great if the reception area is anything to go by.
The reception, bar and restaurant is all open plan and had a stylish boutique feel, with ornate picture frames hanging to separate the areas, and a mixture of lighting and seating was used making it feel very homely and welcoming, we spent the majority of our time on the nice comfy sofas, it was definitely a great venue to have the wedding celebrations at.
