When it comes to putting together an outfit, I am always very picky and try to dress for my body shape and wear items I feel comfortable in. I have a pear shape figure, so I have a small waist but bigger hips and bottom. After trying on a couple of dresses that didn't do anything for my shape, I finally found this beautiful nude dress with a black lace overlay and scallop v-neck hem from Warehouse.
As soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one, the dress has a fit and flare shape which suits a pear shape body perfectly, as it just skims over the hips rather then hugging them. The length of the dress is perfect too for my petite 5'4 height. I have always been a fan of fit and flare dresses as I get to show off the area of the body I like most and hide the areas I like least, making me feel much more confident and comfortable.
I completed the outfit with a black two tone clutch from Topshop which I have had for awhile and some black suede strap heels from New Look, to add a pop of colour and festive touch I painted my nails red.
