Spring is finally here, the moment I see those blossom trees blossoming (and taking over our Insta feeds!). I can't help but smile like a Cheshire cat knowing lighter evenings, warmer weather and an excuse to go shopping for a completely new wardrobe for all those exciting Spring occasions shared with friends and family.
This season I'm loving ruffles, gingham, and pretty floral embroidery prints. There's also those girly grunge style pieces I've got my eyes on which are just me all over!
Over the Easter break, I spent time having a much-needed Spring clear out to make way for my SS17 wardrobe. It feels great having a good 'ol clear out...although it won't be long until my room is back to over filling beauty draws and I'm on my last hanger...meaning I've splurged far too much.
Besides sorting out my junk, you may have seen on Insta stories that my friends and I went shopping and even went as far as getting our legs out for that rare occasion where Britain has a warm-ish day.
After a spot of shopping, a Spring evening wouldn't be complete without stopping off at a pub to enjoy some grub with friends and giggling over a few bottles of Rekorderlig Cider. We enjoyed three fruity flavors 'Passionfruit', 'Wild Berries' and 'Strawberry-lime'. They're refreshing, sweet and taste like Spring in a bottle, they are a perfect Spring companion.
To get that real Spring feeling, they are served best over ice and real fruit. The 'Passionfruit' is great with a squeeze of lime and a wedge to garnish. The 'Wild Berries' is perfect with a layer of seasonal berries and the 'Strawberry-Lime' goes great with a few mint leaves. It's hard to decide which flavor is my favorite as these three feature all my favorite fruits, they taste so delicious that it's quite easy to forget their cider, so drink responsibly folks. You can find other zesty flavors in the Supermarket or in your local pub.
Those Sweedish folk at Rekorderling know how to welcome in Spring. On the last day of April Sweden will be celebrating Walpurgis Eve where they host bonfires, eat, drink and get their Spring'on with friends and family. The following day is Warlpurgis, a public holiday.
I'll be taking inspiration from the Sweeds this Spring/Summer and making the most out of lighter evenings and warmer weather by enjoying time with loved ones after work, for picnics, in the pub or in the garden at home with music, great food and mouth-watering flavours from Rekorderlig Cider.
