Teresita Orillac | LFW | SS16 Collection

Fashion Scout invited me along to the Sunday of London Fashion Week to see the Teresita Orillac SS16 Collection entitled 'Into the Jungle'. When the transparent invite featuring a peacock feather and leather trim arrived in the post I soon began looking forward to the show, which was located inside the stunning art deco building of Freemasons Hall.

The fashion designer Teresita Orillac is originally from Panama and is now based in Dubai, this was her first showcase in the UK. The SS16 collection has been inspired by the rain forests of Panama by using a shimmering colour palette of blues, greens and lilac across her stunning collection.

All the pieces of the collection featured digital prints using imagery of feathers that are found on the wildlife in her homeland Panama. There were floor length gowns, midi dresses, slips and statement separates all with a feminine silhouette. Sadly my photos do not do the collection justice as I was sitting on the third row, but you can check out Vogue for the full collection.

Overall the show was a success and the collection was beautiful, I can see Teresita Orillac doing really well internationally, I will be looking forward to see what she brings out for AW16.

Oh how I do love a long bank holiday weekend, this beautiful pink blossom tree photo was taken in my garden, I have been waiting for all the flowers to grow on it so I could take a photo like this. Me and my friend went to Handmade Burger Co for the very first time, I had the Cajun chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The whole meal was absolutely delicious I am a big fan of a good'ol chicken burger and trust me I have had a lot but I must admit it was probably the best burger I have ever had, it was so tasty and the sweet potato fries were out of this world, so much better then the ones I cook myself at home!

A bank holiday weekend wouldn't be complete without a shopping spree so I went to Urban Outfitters and Topshop, the Topshop in the Birmingham Bullring is currently having work done to make it bigger and better so I will be looking forward to visiting again when it is completed. The River Island store next door to it has also recently just been expanded and its looking great inside, I forgot to take photos next time I go I will add them here.

For dessert we went to Cafe Rouge located in the Birmingham Mailbox, I ordered a nutella and coconut pizza which was different, those are the toppings I usually have on my pancakes so it wasn't too bad. I also went to the Faculty for a cappuccino which is a cute small cafe located in the Piccadilly Arcade nearby Birmingham New Street Train station, I love the cute vintage spoon and the cappuccino tasted good too.

This Easter week I tried not to stuff my face with too many Easter eggs and instead went out for a meal with friends then ate lots of delicious roasted vegetables at home during the week. I always feel rubbish if I spend too much time in the house, especially during the Easter week when you may usually eat more then you do on a regular week, so I spent a lot of the time going out for a run and exercising at home using my new kettlebell.

Luckily it was a very sunny week, so I also spent a lot of time with friends and family walking my dog, we took him to Sutton Park for the very first time and he loved it, the lake picture was taken in Sutton Park and the bridge photo was taken nearby my home in Staffordshire, it looks so cheesy I am surprised he looked up to the camera and posed so well for it, I think his used to being photographed a lot now, I must admit my phone is just full of pictures of my dog doing cute things, such as getting his head stuck in yogurt pots.

The photo of all the beautiful home-ware items was taken in Hollybush Garden Center, a place I hadn't been since I was a child, its great there's so many things to see and do, they have lots of cute pets, fishes and reptiles to look at as well.
