Recently I visited Coventry to see Cougar The Musical at the Belgrade Theatre, so I was looking for a hotel nearby so I didn't have to travel far between the theatre or the train station. Luckily after searching Google Maps I found the Premier Inn Hotel located on the Belgrade Plaza which is less then a minutes walk away from the theatre so I booked it straightaway.

The Premier Inn hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the train station, as I was visiting Coventry for the very first time and didn't know where I was going I used the GPS on my mobile to direct me to the hotel, it lead me a nice easy walk through the Coventry shops and market.

When I got to the hotel it was in the perfect location, known as the Belgrade Plaza which not only has the theatre nearby but also lots of restaurants like Pizza Express, Bella Italia, Cafe Rouge and there is also the Signatures Cafe located in the theatre. There is a large carpark next to the hotel and the City Centre with highstreet shops a small walk aross the road.

I booked a twin bed room for a Friday night at the price of £46, which I was really happy with because of it being so close by it saved us so much time (extra time to decide what to wear) and it meant we saved money by not having to get a taxi or anything. The room was clean, (until I got in there that was) and you know the adverts with Lenny Henry sleeping in the Premier Inn beds to show how comfortable they are? well they really are I had one of the best nights sleep in a long time, the bed was high up, amazing mattress and perfect plump pillows. I got the double bed and my friend got the single bed but she said she slept really well in it so I don't feel so bad.

As me and my friend wore silly shoes that rubbed our feet we had to ask reception if they had four plasters which they happily got for us, we also asked if they could look after our bags after we checked out so we could go walking around the shops which wasn't a problem. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Coventry and its a must if your visiting the Belgrade Theatre, the hotel is also only a 10 minute walk to the Coventry Cathedral which you should definitely visit as its beautiful, there are so many historic buildings in Coventry it was lovely walking around and taking photos.

To see what else I got up to in Coventry read my post about the Belgrade Theatre, what I got up to during the day and where I ate.
